The Chinese Spy Balloon Story
What happened?
On Jan. 28, a balloon suspected of being a Chinese surveillance device entered US airspace north of Alaska. It was later spotted over Montana on Feb. 1, a location with multiple nuclear missile installations. The balloon was eventually shot down on Feb. 4 by a missile fired from a United States Air Force F-22 Raptor off the coast of South Carolina.
